يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيُدْخِلَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يَوْمَ لَا يُخْزِي اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ ۖ نُورُهُمْ يَسْعَىٰ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

 

Bubenheim - Elyas

O die ihr glaubt, kehrt zu Allah um in aufrichtiger Reue; vielleicht wird euer Herr euch eure bösen Taten tilgen und euch in Gärten eingehen lassen, durcheilt von Bächen, am Tag, da Allah den Propheten und diejenigen, die mit ihm geglaubt haben, nicht in Schande stürzen wird. Ihr Licht eilt ihnen voraus und (ebenso) zu ihrer Rechten. Sie werden sagen: "Unser Herr, vollende für uns unser Licht und vergib uns. Gewiß, Du hast zu allem die Macht."

 

Khoury

O ihr, die ihr glaubt, kehrt zu Gott um in aufrichtiger Umkehr. Möge Gott euch eure Missetaten sühnen und euch in Gärten eingehen lassen, unter denen Bäche fließen, am Tag, da Gott den Propheten und die, die mit ihm gläubig sind, nicht zuschanden macht! Ihr Licht eilt vor ihnen und zu ihrer Rechten her. Sie sagen: »Unser Herr, vollende für uns unser Licht und vergib uns. Du hast Macht zu allen Dingen.«

 

Ahmed Ali

O you who believe, turn to God truly in repentance. Perhaps your Lord may forgive your ills and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing by on the day when God will not humiliate the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will move in front of them and to their right, and they will say: "O Lord, perfect our light and forgive us. You have power over every thing."

O you who believe! Turn to God in sincere and reforming repentance. It is hoped that your Lord will blot your evil deeds from you and admit you into Gardens through which rivers flow, on a Day when God will not disgrace nor disappoint the Prophet and those who believe in his company. Their (the believers’) light will shine and spread before them and on their right hands, as they are saying: "Our Lord! Perfect our light (by Your grace so that we may reach Paradise), and forgive us. Surely You have full power over everything!"

O you who believe! turn to Allâh in sincere repentance, may be that your Lord will acquit you of your evil deeds and admit you to Gardens served with running streams. On that day Allâh will not disgrace the Prophet nor those who have believed with him. Their light will advance swiftly (radiating) in front of them and on their right hands while they will go on (praying and) saying, `Our Lord! perfect our light for us and protect us (against our lapses). Verily You are Possessor of prudential power to do every desired thing.´

O you who have attained to faith! Turn unto God in sincere repentance: 16  it may well be that your Sustainer will efface from you your bad deeds, and will admit you into gardens through which running waters flow, on a Day on which God will not shame the Prophet and those who share his faith: 17  their light will spread rapidly before them, and on their right; 18  [and] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Cause this our light to shine for us forever, 19  and forgive us our sins: for, verily, Thou hast the power to will anything!"

 

Daryabadi

O ye who believe! turn Unto Allah with a sincere repentance. Belike your Lord will expiate from you your misdeeds and cause you to enter Gardens whereunder rivers flow, on the Day whereon Allah will not humiliate the prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will be running before them and on their right hands, and they will say: our Lord! perfect for us our light, and forgive us; verily Thou art over everything Potent.

O People who Believe! Incline towards Allah in a repentance that becomes a guidance for the future; it is likely that your Lord will relieve you of your sins and admit you into Gardens beneath which rivers flow - on the day when Allah will not humble the Prophet and the believers along with him; their light will be running ahead of them and on their right; they will say, “Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us; indeed You are Able to do all things.”

Turn to Allah a sincere repentance; maybe your Lord will remove from you your evil and cause you to enter Gardens beneath which rivers flow, on the Day on which Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him; their light shall run on before them and on their right hands. They shall say, "Our Lord! Make perfect for us our light, and grant us protection, surely you have power over all things."

 

Literal

You, you those who believed, repent to God, a sincere/honest (E) repentance, maybe/perhaps your Lord that He covers/substitutes from you your sins/crimes, and He makes you enter treed gardens/paradises, the rivers/waterways flow from beneath it, a day/time God does not shame/scandalize (disappoint) the prophet and those who believed with Him, their light strives/moves quickly between their hands, and at their rights , they say: "Our Lord complete for us our light, and forgive for us, that You are on every thing capable/able ."

 

Malik

O believers! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance. It may well be that your Rabb will remove from you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. On that Day Allah will not humiliate the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will shine in front of them and on their right, and they will say: "Our Rabb! Perfect our light for us and grant us forgiveness, for You have power over all things."

 

Maulana Mohammad Ali

Allah sets forth an example for those who disbelieve -- the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were both under two of Our righteous servants, but they acted treacherously towards them, so they availed them naught against Allah, and it was said: Enter the Fire with those who enter.

Believers, turn to God in repentance with the intention of never repeating the same sin. Perhaps your Lord will expiate your evil deeds and admit you to Paradise wherein streams flow. On the Day of Judgment, God will not disgrace the Prophet and those who have believed in him. Their lights will shine in front of them and to their right. They will say, "Our Lord, perfect our light for us and forgive our sins. You have power over all things".

O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) the Day that Allah will not disgrace the Prophet (Muhammad) and those who believe with him, their Light will run forward before them and with (their Records Books of deeds) in their right hands they will say: "Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do not put it off till we cross over the Sirat (a slippery bridge over the Hell) safely] and grant us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all things ."

O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things."
