وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَنْ تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ أَرْبَابًا ۗ أَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
Und (es steht ihm nicht zu,) euch zu befehlen, die Engel und die Propheten zu Herren nehmen. Sollte er euch den Unglauben befehlen, nachdem ihr (Allah) Ergebene seid?
Und auch nicht, daß er euch befiehlt, die Engel und die Propheten zu Herren zu nehmen. Kann er euch den Unglauben befehlen, nachdem ihr Gottergebene geworden seid?
He will surely not bid you make the angels and the prophets your lords. Would he order you disbelief after you have submitted (and accepted the law of God)?
And he never commands you to take the angels and the Prophets for Lords. Would he command you to unbelief, when you have (answered his call and) become Muslims (submitted to God exclusively)?
Nor would (it be possible for him that) he bid you take the angels and Prophets as your lords. Would he bid you disbelieve after you have submitted yourselves (to the will of God)?
And neither did he bid you to take the angels and the prophets for your lords: 63 [for] would he bid you to deny the truth after you have surrendered yourselves unto God?
And he would not command you that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he command you to infidelity after ye are become Muslims?
And nor will he command you to appoint the angels and the Prophets as Gods; would he (a Prophet) command you to disbelieve after you have become Muslims?
When Allah made the covenant with the prophets, (He said) "Behold, what I have given you of the Book and Wisdom. Then shall come to you a Messenger confirming that which you possess. You shall believe in him and help him." And He said, "Are you resolved and do you take this covenant as binding on you?" They said, "We are resolved." And He said, "Then bear witness, for I am witness with you;
And (he) does not order you that to take the angels and the prophets (as) Lords (Gods). Does he order/command you with the disbelief, after when you are submitters/surrenderers/Moslems?38
He would never ask you to take angels and prophets as your lords. Would he ask you to become kafir (unbelievers) after you have become Muslims (believers)?
It is not meet for a mortal that Allah should give him the Book and the judgement and the prophethood, then he should say to men: Be my servants besides Allah’s; but (he would say): Be worshippers of the Lord because you teach the Book and because you study (it);
A Prophet would never order you to take the angels and the Prophets as your Lords. Would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted yourselves to God?
And he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to Allah)?
And neither would he enjoin you that you should take the angels and the prophets for lords; what! would he enjoin you with unbelief after you are Muslims?
Nor would he order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods). Would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted to Allah's Will? (Tafsir At-Tabari).
Nor would he instruct you to take angels and prophets for Lords and patrons. What! would he bid you to unbelief after ye have bowed your will (To Allah in Islam)?
