وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ قَاتَلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ

 

Bubenheim - Elyas

Und mit wie vielen Propheten zusammen kämpften zahlreiche Bekenner des Herrn! Doch sie gaben nicht auf ob dessen, was sie auf Allahs Weg traf, noch wurden sie schwach, noch unterwarfen sie sich. Und Allah liebt die Standhaften.

Und so manchen Propheten gab es, mit dem viele Scharen gekämpft haben. Sie erlahmten nicht wegen dessen, was sie auf dem Weg Gottes traf, und sie wurden nicht schwach, und sie gaben nicht nach. Und Gott liebt die Standhaften.

Many a seeker after God has fought in the way of God by the side of many an apostle, undaunted (by disaster), and did not disgrace themselves; -- verily God loves those who are steadfast.

And how many from a prophet fought/killed with him many knowledgeable Lord worshippers? So they did not weaken/enfeeble for (what) struck them in God`s sake , and they did not weaken, and they did not become humiliated/disgraced, and God loves/likes the patient.

In the past many Prophets have fought, in the way of Allah, with a large number of godly people. They did not loose heart during the adversities that befell them in the path of Allah; they neither showed weakness nor submitted to falsehood. Allah loves the steadfast.
