أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ
Meinen die Menschen, daß sie in Ruhe gelassen werden, (nur) weil sie sagen: "Wir glauben", ohne daß sie geprüft werden?
Meinen die Menschen, daß sie in Ruhe gelassen werden, nur weil sie sagen: »Wir glauben«, ohne daß sie der Versuchung ausgesetzt werden?
Do men think they will get away by saying: "We believe," and will not be tried?
Do people reckon that they will be left (to themselves at ease) on their mere saying, "We believe," and will not be put to a test?
Do the people think that they will be left alone and not tried with hardships for the mere fact that they profess belief.
DO MEN THINK that on their [mere] saying, "We have attained to faith", they will be left to themselves, and will not be put to a test?
Bethink men that they shall be left alone because they say: we believe; and that they shall not be tempted?
Do men fancy that they will be left just upon their declaring, “We believe”, and they will not be tested?
ALIF LAM MIM.
Did the people think/suppose that they be left that they say: "We believed." And they are not being tested .
Do the people think that they will be left alone on saying "We believe," and that they will not be tested?
And call not with Allah any other god. There is no God but He. Everything will perish but He. His is the judgment, and to Him you will be brought back.
Do people think they will not be tested because they say, "We have faith?"
Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction?
Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried?
Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested.
Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested?
