وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا
Und wenn ihnen Unsere Zeichen als klare Beweise verlesen werden, sagen diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, zu denjenigen, die glauben: "Welcher der beiden Gruppen hat nun eine bessere Stellung und eine schönere Gesellschaft?"
Und wenn ihnen unsere Zeichen als deutliche Beweise verlesen werden, sagen diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, zu denen, die glauben: »Welche von den beiden Gruppen hat eine bessere Stellung und eine schönere Gesellschaft?«
When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?"
When Our Revelations, clear as evidence and in meaning are recited (and conveyed) to them, those who persistently disbelieve say to those who believe: "Which of the two parties (– you or us –) is superior in status with more impressive dwellings and more imposing as a company?"
When Our clear Messages are recited to them the disbelievers say to those who believe, `Which of the two parties of us is better in respect of position and (makes) more impressive society?´
AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto tose who have attained to faith: "which of the two kinds of man 58 is in stronger position and superior as a community?" 59
And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? *Chapter:19
And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say to the Muslims, "Which group has a better home, and a better alliance?"
Then We will save those who fear Us; but We will leave the evildoers therein on their knees.
And when Our evidences/verses evidences are read/recited on (to) them, those who disbelieved said to those who believed: "Which (of) the two groups/parties/flocks is (in) better residence and best gathering/assembly/club?"
When Our Clear Revelations are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believer: "Which one, of the two of us, have fine dwelling and better companions?"
And We shall deliver those who guard against evil, and leave the wrongdoers therein on their knees.
When Our revelations are recited to them, the unbelievers say to the faithful ones, "Which of us is more prosperous?"
And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army?
And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Which of the two parties is best in abiding and best in assembly?
And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)."
When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?"
